Kentucky Wildcats

September Commits:

  • 4-star DL Jerod Smith
  • 4-star EDGE Jacob Smith
  • 3-star LB Devin Smith
  • 3-star EDGE Lorenzo Cowan

Beginning with Kentucky, the Wildcats landed a total of four commitments during the month of September to their 2024 class, which was the most of any SEC football program. Of those four, likely the biggest came via Jerod and Jacob Smith out of in-state Corbin High School in Kentucky.

Two of the top players in the state of Kentucky, as well as among the highest-rated in the Wildcats 2024 class, Jerod and Jacob were both previously committed to Michigan prior to flipping. Jerod is rated as a four-star defensive lineman, while Jacob is a four-star edge rusher.

In addition to those two, Kentucky also landed a commitment from a pair of three-star’s, the first of which was from linebacker Devin Smith out of Brunswick High School in Georgia. The Wildcats fourth commitment also came from the state of Georgia in edge rusher Lorenzo Cowan, who attends Jenkins High School.
