Alabama Crimson Tide

September Commits:

  • 5-star C Aidan Sherrell

With a total of eight SEC basketball programs landing a commitment during September, we begin with arguably the biggest of that group in Alabama. As to why Alabama was likely the biggest, the Crimson Tide picked up a commitment from Aidan Sherrell, who is one of the premier frontcourt prospects in the 2024 class.

Taking a look at Sherrell, the Alabama commit is rated as a five-star center out of Prolific Prep in California. Sherrell is also one of the top players in the state of California, as well as one of the top centers in the 2024 class.

The five-star is also Alabama’s first commitment in their 2024 recruiting class, one that has the potential to be one of the best in the SEC in the future. Sherrell is also one of the highest-rated centers to ever commit to Alabama, as well as the fifth highest-rated recruit in program history.
