6. Joe Milton III (Tennessee)

Previous Ranking: 7

It was an up-and-down game for Joe Milton as Tennessee picked up a big 41-20 win over South Carolina, but Milton struggled at times, plus lost star receiver Bru McCoy to a devastating lower body injury. For the game, Milton went 21-of-32 through the air for 239 passing yards, 1 TD, and 2 INT’s (which was enough for him to move up a spot). On the year, Milton now has a 63.1% completion percentage (101/160 passing), 1,164 passing yards, 139 rushing yards, 13 total TD’s (9 passing, 4 rushing), and 3 INT’s.

This weekend marks the bye week for Milton and Tennessee before the Vols head into a tough stretch of games.

5. Will Rogers (Mississippi State)

Previous Ranking: 4

It was not Rogers’ best game as Mississippi State’s offense failed to get much going in a 40-17 loss to Alabama. Rogers went 15-of-27 passing for 107 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INT’s in the loss. For the season, Rogers now has a 59.7% completion percentage (89/149 passing), 1,086 passing yards, 7 passing TD’s, and 4 INT’s.

Rogers and Mississippi State will dip back into non-conference play this week as the Bulldogs host Western Michigan at Noon Eastern on Saturday.
