SEC Football: Ole Miss, LSU rise in Week 7 2023 power rankings

6. Kentucky Wildcats

Dropping two spots from No. 4 to No. 6 this week is Kentucky, as the Wildcats suffered their first loss of the season Saturday by falling on the road at Georgia, 51-13. A game in which Kentucky trailed by a score of 34-7 at halftime, the Wildcats would also be out-gained in total yardage, 608-183.
Now sitting at 5-1 overall, as well as 2-1 in SEC play, Kentucky will return home Saturday for a matchup against Missouri.
5. LSU Tigers
Previous Ranking: 6
Rising a spot from No. 6 to No. 5 is LSU, as the Tigers picked up a 49-39 road win at Missouri. With the Tigers facing a 25-17 deficit at halftime, LSU would outscore Missouri a combined 32-14 in the second half, as well as rack up 533 yards of total offense, 274 of which came via the running game.
Now sitting at 4-2 overall, as well as 3-1 in SEC play, the Tigers will return home this weekend for a matchup against Auburn.
