5. Georgia is not the runaway favorite anymore

Who would have thought the college football season would feel so wide open midway through the year?

With so many great teams all across the country, there is not a clear team to beat yet.

Now, this does come with a caveat: Nobody else should be No. 1 over the Georgia Bulldogs up to this point.

Oklahoma and Ohio State have impressive wins but there is no denying Georgia is still a very talented football team who just tore apart a ranked Kentucky team 51-13.

But it is a similar situation as Alabama. Is their quarterback capable of bringing Kirby Smart and company its third straight national title?

Carson Beck looked the best he had all season against Kentucky throwing four touchdowns and for over 380 yards through the air.

Maybe he is peaking at the right time. It is a good sign for Bulldog fans that this Georgia team is capable of such an outburst.

But the overall feeling around this team is that they are not as good as last year (that was a lot to ask in of itself) and there are some powerful offenses out west and in the Big 12.

If they want the three-peat, they will need Beck to continue to play like he did against Kentucky.
