We’re right around the midway point of the 2023 college football season. Some QB’s and teams are trending up, some are trending down. With that being said, here is my Week 7 SEC football QB Power Rankings.

Beck, Cook rise in Week 7 SEC Football Quarterback Power Rankings

14. Payton Thorne/Robby Ashford (Auburn)

Previous Ranking: 14

It was Auburn’s bye week in Week 6, so there was no new action for the QB pair of Payton Thorne and Robby Ashford. The season totals still sit at 62.8% passing (59/94), 643 passing yards, 198 rushing yards, 6 total TD’s (4 passing, 2 rushing), and 4 INT’s for Thorne. For Ashford, they are 44.4% completion percentage (8/18 passing), 71 passing yards, 134 rushing yards, 6 total TD’s (1 passing, 5 rushing), and 0 INT’s.

They’ll be back in action this week as Auburn travels to Death Valley to take on Jayden Daniels and LSU at 7:00 pm Eastern.

13. AJ Swann/Ken Seals (Vanderbilt)

Previous Ranking: 13

Ken Seals got his second straight start in Week 6 as AJ Swann continues to be banged up. Seals was solid, even though Vanderbilt fell 38-14 to Florida to fall to 2-5 (0-3 in SEC). Seals ended up going 19/34 passing for 280 yards and 2 TD’s (with no INT’s). For the season, Swann has a 53.8% completion percentage (93/173 passing), 1,290 passing yards, 12 total TD’s (11 passing, 1 rushing), and 7 INT’s. For Seals, the numbers are a 60.5% completion percentage (46/76), 635 passing yards, 7 total TD’s (6 passing, 1 rushing), and 1 INT.

Whoever starts between Seals and Swann will have their work cut out for them this weekend as they host Carson Beck and No. 1 Georgia at Noon Eastern on Saturday.
