12. Max Johnson (Texas A&M)

Previous Ranking: 8

Max Johnson’s second start did not go as well as his first as Texas A&M fell to Alabama 26-20. However, Johnson did not necessarily play poorly against a strong Alabama defense. He ended up going 14/25 through the air for 239 passing yards, 1 TD, and 1 INT. In total, Johnson has a 60.7% completion percentage (51/84 passing), 675 passing yards, 49 rushing yards, 7 passing TD’s, and 2 INT’s.

In what is a must-win game if the Aggies want to keep their SEC West hopes alive, Max Johnson and A&M will travel to take on Joe Milton and Tennessee on Saturday at 3:30 pm Eastern in Knoxville.

11. Graham Mertz (Florida)

Previous Ranking: 12

It was another efficient outing for Graham Mertz as he is our first QB to move up a spot this week. Mertz went 30/36 through the air for 254 yards, 3 TD’s, and 0 INT’s as Florida cruised past SEC East foe Vanderbilt 38-14. For the year, Mertz has an 80% completion percentage (140/175 passing), 1,474 passing yards, 11 total TD’s (9 passing, 2 rushing), and 2 INT’s.

This weekend, Florida looks to stay alive in the East race as they go on the road to take on Spencer Rattler and South Carolina at 3:30 pm Eastern on Saturday.
