SEC Football: Beck, Cook rise in Week 7 QB Power Rankings
10. Jalen Milroe (Alabama)
Previous Ranking: 11
Milroe also moves up a spot as he had one of his better games passing in his career as Alabama knocked off Texas A&M 26-20 in a tough environment. Milroe went 21/33 passing for 321 yards, 3 TD’s, and 1 INT as he returned to just 80 miles or so from where he’s from. Milroe didn’t get it going much on the ground as he was pestered by A&M’s talented pass-rush all game long, but it didn’t really matter much as Milroe was still effective.
Now for the year, Milroe has a 67.6% completion percentage (75/111 passing), 1,159 passing yards, 158 rushing yards, 13 total TD’s (9 passing, 4 rushing), and 4 INT’s. On Saturday, Milroe and the Tide will host KJ Jefferson and Arkansas at Noon Eastern.
9. Devin Leary (Kentucky)
Previous Ranking: 7
Leary failed to get much going through the air as Kentucky struggled against a strong Georgia defense, falling 51-13. Leary ended up 10/26 passing for 128 yards and 2 TD’s (no INT’s). On the year, Leary now has a 54.8% completion percentage (92/168 passing), 1,257 passing yards, 12 passing TD’s, and 5 INT’s.
In a must-win game in terms of SEC East hopes for each team, Leary and Kentucky will host Brady Cook and Missouri on Saturday at 7:30 pm Eastern.
