SEC Football: Beck, Cook rise in Week 7 QB Power Rankings
6. Joe Milton III (Tennessee)
Previous Ranking: 6
Milton and Tennessee also had a bye week this past week. For the season, Milton has a 63.1% completion percentage (101/160 passing), 1,164 passing yards, 133 rushing yards, 12 total TD’s (9 passing, 3 rushing), and 3 INT’s.
In what will be one of the biggest games of Tennessee’s season, Milton and the Vols will host Max Johnson and Texas A&M on Saturday at 3:30 pm Eastern.
5. Will Rogers/Mike Wright (Mississippi State)
Previous Ranking: 5
Will Rogers was having a bounceback performance against Western Michigan on Saturday, until he went down with an injury in the second half. Prior to the injury, Rogers was 16/22 through the air for 189 yards and 3 TD’s. Former Vanderbilt transfer Mike Wright replaced Rogers after the injury and was solid (7/10 for 57 passing yards, 24 rushing yards, and 1 rushing TD).
On the year, Rogers now has a 61.4% completion percentage (105/171 passing), 1,275 passing yards, 10 passing TD’s, and 4 INT’s. Wright has a 72.7% completion percentage (8/11 passing) for 61 passing yards, 138 rushing yards, 4 total TD’s (1 passing, 3 rushing), and 0 INT’s.
Rogers’ availability moving forward is a question mark at the moment. However with their bye week this week, Mississippi State has extra time to figure things out and/or try and get Rogers ready to go.
