Jayden Daniels looked like one of the best quarterbacks in college football in LSU’s domination of Auburn at home. In a match-up of two Tigers, the pack from Louisiana was never in danger of losing this game. LSU got to work early scoring on the first drive of the game in only 4 plays when Daniels hit Malik Nabers for a 29-yard touchdown pass only 1:39 into the game.

LSU was up 17-0 before Auburn found its way to the scoreboard early in the 2nd quarter on a 2-yard run from Jarquez Hunter.  The game went into halftime with Brian Kelly and the LSU Tigers up 20-7 on their SEC West rivals. They out-gained Auburn by 202 total yards at the half, 309 to 107 respectively.

Auburn was able to get little offense going after halftime when they replaced starting quarterback Payton Thorne with Robby Ashford. Hugh Freeze’s offense had a solid drive going until LSU linebacker Harold Perkins Jr. made some key plays in their backfield to force Auburn to a field goal. LSU then responded with another touchdown to go up 27-10 and the game never got any closer for Auburn.

Auburn could not get going offensively and was only able to muster 154 yards passing for the game using two quarterbacks. LSU was able to accumulate 563 total yards. Led by Daniels who provided 325 yards passing and additional 93 yards on the ground while throwing for 3 touchdowns.
