2. Spencer Rattler (South Carolina)

Previous Ranking: 2

It was a frustrating afternoon all-around for Rattler and the Gamecocks as they fell to Missouri 34-12. Rattler ended up going 23/40 through the air for 217 yards, 0 TD’s, and 1 INT. He was also sacked five times. Now for the season, Rattler has a 70.8% completion percentage (165/223 passing), 1,941 passing yards, 114 rushing yards, 13 total TD’s (11 passing, 2 rushing), and 5 INT’s.

Rattler and the Gamecocks will look to end their skid at Noon Eastern Saturday as they travel to College Station to take on Max Johnson and Texas A&M.

1. Jayden Daniels (LSU)

Previous Ranking: 1

LSU cruised past Army on Saturday 62-0, and Daniels did his thing before bowing out for Garrett Nussmeier to finish out the blowout. Daniels went 11/15 through the air for 279 yards and 4 total TD’s (3 passing, 1 rushing). Daniels didn’t do as much on the ground as usual as LSU didn’t want to risk injury.

For the season, Daniels now has a 73.1% completion percentage (163/223 passing), 2,573 passing yards, 521 rushing yards, 30 total TD’s (25 passing, 5 rushing), and 3 INT’s as he remains in the Heisman discussion. LSU heads into their bye in Week 9 as they gear up for the stretch run.
