Georgia was able to cruise through their way against Florida. Does this mean that the national champs are back?

The Georgia Bulldogs were able to beat the Florida Gators, 43-20. While the Gators were able to make some noise in the first quarter of this game, the Bulldogs were easily able to send all Gators fans to the exits before the game ended. Carson Beck was still able to produce this offense to a very nice day despite the fact that Brock Bowers was not playing.

The lack of the superstar tight end did not appear in this game as Ladd McConkey was able to produce in this game. The wide receiver was able to end up with 6 receptions for 135 yards. He also ended up with one receiving touchdown in this game.

Does this mean that Georgia doesn’t need Brock Bowers going forward?

Georgia will certainly miss Brock Bowers going forward. Your team will definitely go down in production when you lose one of the best players in college football. Still, the Bulldogs might have enough talent when it comes to the rest of the roster to still win the national championship.

Their upcoming games against Ole Miss, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech (nor will Missouri be either but the Tigers’ defense is good enough to not be lumped with this group) will not be a good test for if the Bulldogs can survive without Bowers. The real test will come against Alabama in a potential SEC Championship game and in the playoff.

If one were to make a bet right now, it’s hard to see a world where the Bulldogs’ defense suffers any loses this season. Still, it is possible that Georgia’s offense will need to show up at some point.

While it doesn’t answer the question mentioned above, it’s still noteworthy to note that this season will come down to whether the offense can produce without Bowers.

In the one-game sample against a defense that might not be heading to a bowl game, they were able to easily pass. The questions will continue to come until the SEC championship and playoff without having any real noteworthy data to use. Still for now, it’s hard to say that the Bulldogs offense can’t win a title with their complimentary offense.
