8. Texas A&M Aggies
Previous Ranking: 7
Dropping a spot from No. 7 to No. 8 is Texas A&M, as the Aggies fell on the road at Ole Miss, 38-35. A game in which the Aggies were out-gained in total yardage, 518-457, Texas A&M would actually outscore the Rebels a combined 21-18 in the second half, but it would not be enough to overcome a 20-14 halftime deficit.
Now sitting at 5-4 overall, as well as 3-3 in SEC play, Texas A&M will return home Saturday for a matchup against Mississippi State.
7. Kentucky Wildcats
Previous Ranking: 8
After snapping their three-game losing streak with a 24-3 road win at Mississippi State, Kentucky rises a spot from No. 8 to No. 7. Despite only out-gaining the Bulldogs in total yardage, 271-218, Kentucky would carry a 21-3 lead into halftime, and would shutout Mississippi State entirely in the second half.
Now sitting at 6-3 overall, as well as 3-3 in SEC play, Kentucky will return home this weekend for a matchup against Alabama.
