Georgia, Missouri rise in Week 12 College Football Playoff Rankings

With only two weeks remaining in the regular season, let’s take a look at which SEC teams were ranked in the latest College Football Playoff Rankings entering Week 12.
Georgia, Missouri rise in Week 12 College Football Playoff Rankings
Georgia Bulldogs
- Previous Ranking: No. 2
- Current Ranking: No. 1
Coming off their impressive 52-17 home win over Ole Miss, Georgia remains the highest-ranked SEC team by rising a spot from No. 2 to No. 1. Next up for the Bulldogs is a road trip to Tennessee this Saturday, followed by a road game at Georgia Tech, as well as a date with Alabama in the SEC Championship Game on December 2.
Alabama Crimson Tide
- Previous Ranking: No. 8
- Current Ranking: No. 8
Speaking of the Crimson Tide, Alabama remains at No. 8 coming off their 49-21 road win at Kentucky. Next up for Alabama is a home matchup against Chattanooga, as well as a road trip to Auburn, and the aforementioned SEC Championship Game matchup against Georgia in Atlanta.
Missouri Tigers
- Previous Ranking: No. 14
- Current Ranking: No. 9
Missouri rose five spots from No. 14 to No. 9 as a result of their 36-7 home win over Tennessee. Remaining for the Tigers on their schedule is a home matchup with Florida on Saturday, followed by a trip to Arkansas.
Ole Miss Rebels
- Previous Ranking: No. 9
- Current Ranking: No. 13
Ole Miss dropped four spots from No. 9 to No. 13 coming off their 52-17 road loss at Georgia. Next up for the Rebels is a home matchup against UL Monroe, as well as a road trip to Mississippi State.
LSU Tigers
- Previous Ranking: No. 19
- Current Ranking: No. 15
LSU rose four spots up from No. 19 to No. 15 after their 52-35 home win over Florida. The Tigers have a pair of home matchups remaining against Georgia State and Texas A&M.
Tennessee Volunteers
- Previous Ranking: No. 13
- Current Ranking: No. 18
The final SEC team ranked this week was Tennessee, who dropped five spots from No. 13 to No. 18 as a result of their 36-7 road loss at Missouri. Remaining for the Volunteers are two home games against Georgia and Vanderbilt.
