Here is the latest update of our 2023 SEC football power rankings as we enter Week 13, which is the final week of the regular season, as well as “rivalry week.”

South Carolina rises, Auburn falls in Week 13 2023 SEC football power rankings

14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 14

The lone SEC football team to not play Saturday due to a bye week, we begin this week’s update with Vanderbilt at No. 14.

Having lost their last nine consecutive games, Vanderbilt (2-9 overall, 0-7 in SEC) will conclude their 2023 season this Saturday on the road at Tennessee.

13. Mississippi State Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 13

Remaining at No. 13 is Mississippi State, who snapped their three-game losing streak Saturday with a 41-20 win over Southern Miss. A game in which the Bulldogs held a 382-246 advantage in total yardage, Mississippi State would hold a 16-7 lead at halftime, and largely kept Southern Miss off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter.

Now sitting at 5-6 overall, as well as 1-6 in SEC play, Mississippi State will look to qualify for a bowl game by hosting Ole Miss on Thursday for the latest edition of “The Egg Bowl.”
