We’re heading into the final week of the 2023 SEC football regular season, which means it’s Rivalry Week! It’s also the final week for 12 of the SEC’s 14 QB’s to make their final impact of the regular season.

Cook rises, Milton falls in latest SEC football quarterback power rankings

14. Ken Seals/Walter Taylor (Vanderbilt)

Previous Ranking: 13

Vanderbilt had their second bye week of the season in Week 12 (thanks to playing Week 0), and so none of the ‘Dores’ QB’s numbers changed. However, a return of a QB elsewhere drops Vandy’s QB’s down a spot.

The Vandy QB numbers are; Seals has a 57.6% completion percentage (98/170 passing), 1,122 passing yards, 11 total TD’s (10 passing, 1 rushing), and 4 INT’s. Taylor has a 33.3% completion percentage (5/15 passing), 44 passing yards, 103 rushing yards, 1 rushing TD, and 1 INT. AJ Swann still has a 53.8% completion percentage (93/173 passing), 1,290 passing yards, 12 total TD’s (11 passing, 1 rushing), and 7 INT’s, but has been out since September due to injury.

Vanderbilt’s season finale will be Saturday at 3:30 pm Eastern against Joe Milton III and Tennessee.

13. Will Rogers (Mississippi State)

Previous Ranking: 14

Will Rogers made his long-awaited return to the Mississippi State offense from injury, although it probably wasn’t the return he wanted. Rogers struggled some as the Bulldogs were slow getting out of the gates (trailed 7-3 after the 1st quarter) in a 41-20 win over Southern Miss. Rogers went 12/27 for 144 passing yards, 2 passing TD’s, and 0 INT’s in the game.

For the season, Rogers now has a 59.1% completion percentage (117/198 passing), 1,419 passing yards, 12 passing TD’s, and 4 INT’s.

Mississippi State will be looking for bowl-eligibility in the Egg Bowl on Thanksgiving night, while they also try to spoil Ole Miss’ NY6 hopes. Rogers will battle against Dart and the Rebels at 7:30 pm Eastern on Thursday night.
