10. Devin Leary (Kentucky)

Previous Ranking: 10

Kentucky continues to sputter offensively as the Wildcats fell to South Carolina 17-14. Leary ended up going 17/34 through the air for 171 passing yards, 1 passing TD, and 1 INT. For the season, Leary has a 56.4% completion percentage (181/321 passing), 2,234 passing yards, 21 total TD’s (20 passing, 1 rushing), and 9 INT’s.

Leary and Kentucky will look to shake-up the top 10 as they take on in-state ACC foe and No. 10 ranked Louisville at Noon Eastern on Saturday.

9. Max Brown (Florida)

Previous Ranking: 7 (Graham Mertz)

Florida played well and almost pulled off an upset on Saturday, but they suffered a key injury in Saturday’s 33-31 loss to Missouri. Starting QB Graham Mertz fractured his collarbone in the 3rd quarter, and is out for the remainder of the season. He was replaced by Redshirt-Freshman Max Brown, who played well and almost led the Gators to victory. Before the injury, Mertz was 14/21 through the air for 183 passing yards, 13 rushing yards, 2 passing TD’s, and 1 INT. In relief, Brown was 4/5 passing for 56 passing yards and 42 rushing yards (no TD’s or INT’s).

Overall, Graham Mertz finishes up with a 72.9% completion percentage (261/358 passing), 2,903 passing yards, 24 total TD’s (20 passing, 4 rushing), and just 3 INT’s. Max Brown now has an 83.3% completion percentage (10/12 passing), 106 passing yards, 42 rushing yards and no TD’s or INT’s.

It’ll be backup QB vs. Backup QB (due to the very unfortunate significant injury to Jordan Travis) when Florida takes on in-state rival Florida State at 7:00 pm Eastern on Saturday. The game is of double importance for the Gators. Florida is looking for bowl-eligibility, and they are also hoping to knock Florida State out of College Football Playoff contention.
