The regular season has now officially come to an end, which means that our 2023 SEC football power rankings receives its’ second-to-last update of the year. So, with that thought in mind, what does our latest update look like, and where do the two teams participating in this week’s SEC Championship Game sit?

Kentucky rises, Arkansas falls in Week 14 2023 SEC football power rankings

14. Vanderbilt Commodores

Previous Ranking: 14

Beginning this week’s update is Vanderbilt remaining at No. 14, as the Commodores dropped their 10th consecutive game Saturday with a 48-24 road loss at Tennessee. Struggling defensively by allowing 617 yards of total offense to Tennessee, Vanderbilt would trail by a score of 31-10 at the half, as well as largely be kept off the scoreboard until the fourth quarter where they held a 14-3 advantage.

Vanderbilt officially concludes their 2023 season at 2-10 overall, as well as the lone winless SEC football team in conference play at 0-8.

13. Arkansas Razorbacks

Previous Ranking: 12

Dropping a spot from No. 12 to No. 13 is Arkansas, as the Razorbacks fell at home to Missouri on Friday by a final score of 48-14. Out-gained in total yardage, 370-225, the Razorbacks would be kept off the scoreboard entirely until the fourth quarter, as well as struggle with turnovers in the contest by committing five.

Arkansas officially concludes their 2023 season at 4-8 overall, as well as 1-7 in SEC play.
