12. Mississippi State Bulldogs
Previous Ranking: 13
Even despite suffering a 17-7 loss at home to Ole Miss in the Egg Bowl on Thursday, Mississippi State rises a spot from No. 13 to No. 12. After trailing by a score of 3-0 at halftime, the Bulldogs would be outscored a combined 14-7 in the second half.
Mississippi State officially concludes their 2023 season at 5-7 overall, as well as 1-7 in SEC play.
11. Auburn Tigers
Previous Ranking: 11
Remaining at No. 11 this week is Auburn, who dropped their second-straight game Saturday with a 27-24 home loss to Alabama in the Iron Bowl. A game in which the Tigers held a 21-10 lead as they entered the fourth quarter, Auburn would be outscored 7-3 in the game’s final frame, as well as struggle with turnovers by committing three.
Auburn officially concludes the regular season at 6-6 overall, as well as 3-5 in SEC play, and will play in a bowl game that is currently TBD.
