12. Georgia Bulldogs

Previous Ranking: 11

Dropping a spot from No. 11 to No. 12 is Georgia, as the Bulldogs were another team who had a bit of a rough start to their 2023-24 season. After falling to Oregon on a neutral-court to begin the year, Georgia would bounce back with wins over Wake Forest and North Carolina Central before dropping two more neutral-site games to Miami and Providence, with the Bulldogs recently having also defeated both Winthrop and Florida State.

Now sitting at 4-3 overall, Georgia has six home matchups remaining on their non-conference schedule against Mercer, Georgia Tech, High Point, Mount St. Mary’s, North Florida, and Alabama A&M.

11. South Carolina Gamecocks

Previous Ranking: 14

One of SEC basketball’s biggest risers this week is South Carolina, as the Gamecocks rose three spots from No. 14 to No. 11 off their strong start to the year. The Gamecocks are one-of-two SEC basketball programs who are currently undefeated, owning victories over South Carolina Upstate, Virginia Tech, VMI, DePaul, Grand Canyon, and Notre Dame.

Still sitting undefeated at 6-0 overall, South Carolina has a few other home matchups remaining on their non-conference schedule against George Washington, Charleston Southern, Winthrop, Elon, and Florida A&M. The Gamecocks will also travel to both Clemson and East Carolina.
