2. Texas A&M Aggies

Previous Ranking: 3

Rising a spot is Texas A&M, as the Aggies jump up from No. 3 to No. 2. The Aggies would originally begin the season with five-straight wins over Texas A&M-Commerce, Ohio State, SMU, Oral Roberts, and Penn State, but would drop two of the next three against Florida Atlantic and Virginia, with a win over Iowa State included between the two.

Now sitting at 6-2 overall, Texas A&M will host DePaul, Memphis, Houston Christian, and Prairie View across the remainder of their non-conference. The Aggies will also play Houston on a neutral-court.

1. Kentucky Wildcats

Previous Ranking: 5

One of the biggest risers this week was Kentucky, as the Wildcats jump four spots from No. 5 to No. 1 after their impressive start to the year to takeover the No. 1 ranking. After beginning the season with wins over New Mexico State and Texas A&M-Commerce, Kentucky would fall to Kansas on a neutral-court, but have since rebounded with four-straight wins over Stonehill, Saint Joseph’s, Marshall, and Miami.

Now sitting at 6-1 overall, Kentucky will host UNC Wilmington and Illinois State in the coming weeks, as well as travel to Louisville. The Wildcats will also face Pennsylvania and North Carolina across the remainder of their non-conference slate on a neutral-court.
