SEC News: Kentucky lands former 5-star QB, 2023 football awards announced

A day that was headlined by more movement in the transfer portal, as well as a notable decision from a quarterback in the conference, here are some headlines you need to know from across the SEC on Wednesday.
Georgia transfer QB Brock Vandagriff commits to Kentucky
After having recently entered the transfer portal, Georgia redshirt sophomore quarterback Brock Vandagriff has now committed to another SEC program in the Kentucky Wildcats. Vandagriff, who is a former five-star prospect from the 2021 class, saw the most action of his collegiate career this past season by completing 66.7% of passes for 165 yards and a 2:0 TD:INT ratio, while also rushing for 39 yards on five attempts.
Florida DL Princely Umanmielen enters transfer portal
After four seasons in Gainesville where he compiled a combined 98 tackles, 24.5 TFL, and 14.5 sacks, Florida junior defensive lineman Princely Umanmielen has entered the transfer portal. The junior is coming off a strong 2023 season in which he ranked Top 10 in the SEC in both TFL and sacks, amassing 39 tackles, 11.5 TFL, and seven sacks.
South Carolina RB Mario Anderson enters transfer portal
Coming off a strong first season in Columbia, South Carolina redshirt senior running back Mario Anderson has entered the transfer portal. Anderson rushed for 707 yards and three touchdowns on 143 attempts this past season, while also catching 22 passes for 153 yards and another score.

Texas A&M DL Walter Nolen enters transfer portal
Formerly the No. 2 overall player in the 2022 class out of high school, Texas A&M sophomore defensive lineman Walter Nolen has entered the transfer portal. Nolen, who has a combined stat line of 66 tackles, 11 TFL, and five sacks in College Station, is coming off a season in which he had 37 tackles, 8.5 TFL, and four sacks for the Aggies.
