S Tykee Smith - Fringe Day 2 Pick (3rd or 4th round)

It was a start-and-stop college career for Smith, but he ended on a high-note as Georgia's leading tackler in 2023. He started out at West Virginia where he had 111 tackles, 10.5 TFL, 1 sack, 4 INT's, and 9 PBU's in two seasons and was an All-American in 2020.

He then transferred to Georgia, but missed most of 2021 and parts of 2022 due to injury. He then took over as Georgia's primary STAR (the nickel position) in 2023 where he had a standout season with 70 tackles, 8.5 TFL, 2 sacks, and 4 INT's.

Across his college career, Smith had 212 tackles, 21.5 TFL, 5 sacks, 8 INT's, and 12 PBU's.

One thing that could determine when Smith goes in the draft is whether teams view him strictly as a slot/nickelback at the next level or if they think he has a chance to be a full-time safety.

Speed and size are also a question, but he is strong in coverage and a good tackler. Smith might need to test well to jump into Day Two, but I think he'll likely be a 4th round selection (who could fall into the 5th if things don't go well in Indy).
