2024 NFL Draft: Georgia Bulldogs Draft Predictions
RB Daijun Edwards - Rounds 4-6
Edwards got limited carries his first two seasons at Georgia (playing behind the likes of Zamir White, James Cook, and Kenny McIntosh). He broke out however in 2022 as the #2 back behind McIntosh.
He then served as the 1A/1B back alongside Kendall Milton in 2023. This past season, Edwards had 880 rushing yards and 13 TD's on 165 carries. For his career, he has 391 carries for 2,082 rushing yards, 37 catches for 343 receiving yards, and 24 rushing TD's.
Edwards might lack prototypical size or speed for an NFL running-back, but has great vision and better than expected power. While he might not test as well as others at the Combine, Edwards' tape sticks out. Edwards could be one of those RB's that goes on Day Three, but turns into a productive RB who earns a second contract.
