Five star recruit Jonah Williams is the number one safety and 10th ranked player nationally in the 2025 recruiting class according to On3. The six foot three inch safety is inching closer to committing it appears as he set some visits the past few days with a few schools.

Which schools is Jonah Williams set to visit?

Williams just set a visit for the Texas Longhorns a few days ago, and also announced he will be visiting the LSU Tigers for a second time on Friday.

The Galveston, Texas product is crystal balled 56% to Oregon, but it seems with two SEC schools receiving visits, the conference as a whole is picking up steam. Williams recently retweeted a tweet regarding LSU picking up the number one quarterback, running back and cornerback which he was mentioned in. This could also be a lean that LSU is a serious contender

Why is Jonah Williams being compared to Deion Sanders?

Not only is Williams a star on the football field, but he is elite in baseball as well. Williams has a chance to develop in an early-round selection in the 2025 MLB Draft.

Deion Sanders played safety for the Florida State Seminoles, which would be the same position as Williams, and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals out of high school in 1985 for baseball.

Sanders ultimately chose football and was a star for the Seminoles and eventually the Atlanta Falcons of the NFL. If Williams chooses baseball however, he may never see time on a college football field.

The other possibility is that he could enroll at a school that will allow him to play two sports, which seems to be the draw with LSU. Baseball coach Jay Johnson and football coach Brian Kelly both seem to have interest in the 2025 product, which could help him lean towards the program.
