Some locker room speeches turn out to be legendary. And with the SEC being the best conference in the country for a few decades now, it is not a surprise that there have been some legendary speeches given by players and coaches throughout the years.

Tim Tebow’s National Championship halftime speech

With the game tied at seven at halftime of the 2008 National Championship, Florida Gators quarterback Tim Tebow lights into the team with them circled around him at halftime. Tebow demands the team look into his eyes, reminding them that they have “30 minutes for the rest of our lives.” The Gators went on to defeat the Sooners 24-14.

Les Miles’ “play for victory”

Les Miles embodies the ferocity and passion of the LSU culture telling them before their game that the day is about “being LSU.” Miles calls out each individual player tell them they’re responsible for the success of the team. This will make you want to run through a wall.

Auburn’s National Championship post-game locker room speech

Head coach Gene Chizik addresses his time telling them “learning how to be a champion is not easy.” Chizik calls out his team wishing them success in being champions in life beyond football.

Chizik calls out some legendary Tigers players like Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams and Bo Jackson reminding the current team of how special their moment was in that they carried the torch for the greats before them that night.

Nick Saban addresses team ahead of the 2018 National Championship

Saban has an ability like very few to make his team understand individually that as long as they do their jobs, the rest will take care of itself. And in this speech, the message is no different as he tells them to “do your job.”

Saban calls out Alabama’s opponent in the Georgia Bulldogs for saying that they disrespected them and that Alabama is not as good as they use to be.

“The ultimate disrespect is when somebody takes what is yours. And this is our game,” Saban tells his team. Saban concludes by telling the team to take things personal. The Tide would defeat the Bulldogs 26-23.

Kirby Smart’s halftime speech against the Florida Gators

This is one of the fieriest speeches you will ever hear. Even with the Bulldogs up by a score of 24-0 at halftime, Smart has a way of motivating the Bulldogs. Smart tells his team he wants to “break” the Gators.

The Bulldogs would go on to defeat the Gators 34-7.

Ahead of the National Championship game against the Alabama Crimson Tide, Georgia Bulldogs head coach Kirby Smart reminds his team that they have been preparing for their moment for 365 days.

Nick Saban pre-game speech vs LSU

This is one of the most hair-raising speeches of all-time. Ahead of a 2008 matchup between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Nick Saban’s former team the LSU Tigers, Saban addresses his team in the locker room.

Saban tells the Tide that were undefeated at the time, “if it means something to you, you can’t stand still.”

The tide went onto an overtime victory 27-21 over the Tigers in Baton Rouge.
