Alabama Football documentary to be released this Friday
“Let all Naysayers Know.” That is the long-hand version of the acronym known as “LANK” that became an NIL trend for 2023 Alabama players Terion Arnold and Jalen Milroe. While Arnold was drafted into the NFL, Milroe remains in Tuscaloosa and the LANK brand may be there to stay even longer.
After a rough start to the 2023 season which saw quarterback Jalen Milroe through two interceptions in a 10 point home loss to the Texas Longhorns, skepticism surrounded the Tide program. That only increased after Milroe was benched the following week against the University of South Florida.
The Tide would go on to rattle off 10 regular season victories in a row that was capped with a fourth and 31 miracle touchdown in the Iron Bowl against the Auburn Tigers and an SEC championship the following week against the Georgia Bulldogs.
How did LANK come about?
According to Milroe, “LANK was something we built in the offseason…we came in as one unit to think of a motto to push our team,” Milroe told reporters.
After the rough start, it is safe to say that is when LANK really took off. LANK gear became so popular that merchandise is actually sold and can be purchased online at Athlete’s Thread. The gear was even sported by former Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Due to it’s popularity, the University of Alabama is producing a documentary on LANK which can be found on its social media channels starting this Friday
Who will be featured in the LANK documentary?
Featured in the LANK documentary will be Terion Arnold, Jalen Milroe, Nick Saban, Greg Byrne, Kalen DeBoer and more.
Documentaries surrounding college football teams and players seem to be picking up momentum since the implementation of NIL and the would be the latest iteration. It will provide an inside look into the Alabama program for fans, which is something that was rare during the Nick Saban era.
