Arizona vs. Alabama: Line, Prediction, TV Channel & Live Stream for Hall of Fame Series
By Matt Melton
One of the headline matchups across college basketball this week comes Wednesday night, where the Alabama Crimson Tide travel for a neutral-court showdown against Arizona in the Hall of Fame Series. The two teams last met for a home-and-home series back in 2017 and 2018, with the home team winning each matchup.
Led by head coach Tommy Lloyd, Arizona is ranked as the No. 4 team in the country according to the latest AP Poll, and are sitting at 8-1 overall for the season. The Wildcats are however coming off their first loss of the 2023-24 season in which they fell to Purdue on a neutral-court, 92-84.
College basketball's No. 2 scoring team at 92.9 PPG, the Wildcats are an experienced team, and are led by five double-digit scorers in Caleb Love, Keshad Johnson, Oumar Ballo, Pelle Larsson, and Kylan Boswell. Arizona also ranks as the nation's No. 1 team in APG at 21.9, while also ranking Top 10 in FG's, 2P FG's, DRPG, FG%, and RPG.
Led by head coach Nate Oats, Alabama comes into this matchup sitting at 6-4 overall for the 2023-24 season. The Crimson Tide are however coming off back-to-back losses, which came against a pair of Top 10 teams in Purdue and Creighton.
Ranking right behind the Wildcats as the nation's No. 3 scoring team at 92.1 PPG, Alabama is led by one of the SEC's top scorers in guard Mark Sears at 21.2 PPG, while both Aaron Estrada and Grant Nelson also average in double-figures. The Crimson Tide also rank Top 10 nationally in both FT and 3P, but have struggled at times defensively as they allow 77.6 PPG, which is among the worst in the SEC.
Arizona vs. Alabama Line, Spread, Over/Under
As of Wednesday, December 20, Arizona is a 7.5-point favorite over Alabama according to FanDuel, with the over/under at 175.5. Arizona is at -315, while Alabama is +250.
Arizona vs. Alabama Hall of Fame Series Prediction
Two of the nation's best at putting points on the scoreboard, expect this contest to certainly be high-scoring between the Wildcats and Crimson Tide. As to who wins, Arizona should certainly have the homecourt advantage in this matchup, and I'll say that plays a role in an impressive bounce back win for the Wildcats. Prediction: Arizona 85, Alabama 79
