South Carolina (5.5) – This one is tough. The momentum was riding high after head coach Shane Beamer led the Gamecocks to an 8-5 season in 2022 including beating rival Clemson. The team digressed however in 2023 to a 5-7 record with massive problems on the offensive line, which led to a wasted season of talent quarterback Spencer Rattler.

While the Gamecocks have improved things on the offensive line and brought in transfer running back Raheim “Rocket” Sanders, question marks are now at the quarterback position.

Auburn transfer quarterback Robby Ashford transfers in and will compete with redshirt freshman LaNorris Sellers for the starting job. Regardless of who starts, not much experience will be at the quarterback position for the Gamecocks.

Assuming the Gamecocks handle their business in week one against Old Dominion, traveling to Lexington and defeating Kentucky could have the Gamecocks off to a 2-0 start which would make it tough to bet against in theory for the win total to be under 5.5 for the full season.

Akron, Vanderbilt and Wofford are also very winnable games on the schedule.

With that being said, if the Gamecocks can win two games between their remaining schedule of LSU, Ole Miss, Alabama, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Missouri and Clemson, bet the over.
