Georgia Basketball Early Offseason Roster Outlook
Georgia basketball's deep run into the NIT under head coach Mike White has many more intrigued with the Bulldogs than at the start of the tournament due to the impressive performances. From star freshman Silas Demary Jr. and beyond, we explore the outlook of Georgia's roster in the early offseason.
This past year's Juniors
G RJ Melendez
F Jalen DeLoach
This could be a key pair for Mike White and Georgia to keep around. Melendez averaged 9.6 PPG and 4.1 RPG on 45.3% shooting, mainly working off the bench (36 games, 7 starts).
Melendez scored 35 points in Georgia's first game against Florida (keying Georgia's comeback that ultimately fell short), and scored in double-digits 18 times this season.
DeLoach served as Georgia's main backup center for most of the season, averaging 3.6 PPG and 3.3 RPG on 53.5% shooting across 12.9 minutes per game in 32 games (6 starts).
Both of these players could be important ones for Georgia to keep in the fold as talented veterans.
