The 20th ranked Georgia Bulldogs got a big upset win on Tuesday night as they defeated the 5th ranked Clemson Tigers in 15 innings of play. Let's take a look at how the Bulldogs were able to take down the Tigers.

It was a bullpen game as both teams starters threw three innings or less. The Georgia Bullpen had a combined stat-line of 19 strikeouts, five walks, eight hits, and one earned run. Chandler Marsh got the win in 1.2 innings pitched with five strikeouts and zero base runners.

The Clemson Bullpen also dominated as they struck out 12 batters and allowed seven hits, ten walks, and three earned runs. Chance Fitzgerald got the loss as he walked two batters before being pulled. This resulted in the winning running being counted as his.

In the second inning, Georgia got on the board with a run scoring single by Paul Toetz. Clemson quickly responded in the top of the third inning with a two run triple from Blake Wright. This made the score 2-1.

In the fourth inning, the Tigers added another run to their lead with a solo home run by Cam Cannarella. This made the score 3-1

Later in the seventh inning, Georgia begins their comeback with a run scoring single from Corey Collins. This hit put them made the score 3-2.

The Georgia bullpen leaves Clemson scoreless for the eighth and ninth and Corey Collins comes up once again with runners on base. He hits another run scoring single to tie up the game at 3-3.

The relievers for both teams pitched scoreless innings from the tenth until the fifteenth. The Bulldogs were able to get the bases loaded and Paul Toetz was able to score the winning run on a wild pitch.

Georgia got the victory with a final score of 4-3. This improved the Bulldogs record to 30-10 and the Tigers dropped to 32-8.
