Top Three Pitchers

Pitching has been the key to success for these Wildcats as they have a top rotation in the entire conference. These pitchers do not strike out a lot of batters, but they do not allow many runs.

Mason Moore has been the best pitcher in this Wildcat rotation this year. Through eight start, Moore has a 7-0 with an earned run average of 2.62 in 44.2 innings pitched and has struck out 41 batters.

Trey Pooser has also been a great arm for Kentucky. In nine appearances, Pooser has a 3-0 record with an earned run average of 3.38 in 32 innings pitched and has struck out 30 batters.

Dominic Niman is another starting pitcher that has been great this season. Through eight starts, Niman has a 6-2 record with an earned run average of 3.59 in 47.2 innings pitched and has struck out 43 batters.

This pitching staff is really good and stats back it up. As a team, Kentucky is ranked third in the SEC in earned run average, second in opposing batting average (.208), and third in earned runs allowed (112).

Keep an eye out for the Wildcats for the rest of the season. They currently are first in the SEC East and there are no signs of slowing down. Kentucky could be an early favorite for the SEC Tournament.
