Best Pitcher

The best pitcher award is going to a player who has dominated on the mound this season. This pitcher has amazing pitches and is top five in division one baseball in strikeouts.

The mid-season best pitcher award goes to Hagen Smith of the Arkansas Razorbacks. The left handed pitcher has been the best pitcher in the Southeastern Conference this season.

According to MLB Pipeline, Smith is the 15th ranked draft prospect for this years Major League Draft. Expect this to change by summer time as his stats are outstanding.

Through seven starts on the mound, Smith has a 5-0 record with an earned run average of 1.54 in 35 innings pitched and has struck out 72 batters. He also has a very impressive WHIP of 0.74.

Smith is ranked fourth in division one baseball in strikeouts, eighth in earned run average, and third in WHIP.

Hagen Smith has been incredible on the mound this season. Keep an eye out as he might be the first pitcher taken in the draft. This is why he is my mid-season best pitcher.
