Midseason SEC Baseball Awards

We are now halfway through the 2024 college baseball season. Let's hand out various mid-season awards to the top performing players inside the SEC.

Best Hitter

The best hitter award is going to a player who is leading all of college baseball in multiple hitting categories.

The mid-season best hitter award goes to Charlie Condon of the Georgia Bulldogs. The corner infielder and corner outfielder has been the best hitter in the country.

According to MLB Pipeline, Condon is the fourth ranked prospect for this years Major League Draft. His bat might make him the first overall pick this summer.

In 29 games, Condon has a batting average of .481 with 19 home runs and 41 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.723, which includes an on-base percentage of .593 and a slugging percentage of 1.130.

Condon is ranked first in division one baseball in home runs and slugging percentage. He ranks second in batting average and on-base percentage.

Charlie Condon is putting up video game numbers at the plate. If he keeps it up, he could finish with a very historic season and break some records. This is why Condon is my mid-season best hitter.
