Predicting Who Every SEC Team's Highest Drafted Player Will Be in the 2024 NFL Draft

We are about to head into one of the best weekends of the year, the NFL Draft. As usual, the SEC is expected to have a dominant showing. I decided to take a look at who I believe will be the first player off the board from every SEC school.

Auburn - CB D.J. James

Auburn has several players projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round, and I believe that D.J. James will be the first of them to be selected. James spent two seasons at Auburn after transferring in from Oregon. The 6'0, 170 pound corner had 38 tackles, 2 INT's, 10 PBU's, and 3.5 TFL this past year.

Overall for his five year career split between Auburn and Oregon, James had totals of 147 tackles, 5 INT's (one pick-6), 24 PBU's, and 5 TFL. James ran a 4.42 40 yard dash at the NFL Combine.

Florida - WR Ricky Pearsall

Pearsall had a career year in 2023, going for 65 catches, 965 yards, and 6 total TD's (4 receiving, 2 rushing). This is a very deep and talented draft at the receiver position, and Pearsall is one of the players in that. Pearsall measured in at 6'1, 189 at the combine and tested well. He ran a 4.41 40, jumped a 42" Vertical, and a 10' 9" Broad.

Pearsall has career totals of 159 catches, 2,420 receiving yards, 253 rushing yards, and 19 total TD's (14 receiving, 5 rushing) across five seasons. He heads into the draft as one of the top slot receivers and I expect him to be selected sometime on Day Two (2nd or 3rd round).
