Predicting Who Every SEC Team's Highest Drafted Player Will Be in the 2024 NFL Draft

We are about to head into one of the best weekends of the year, the NFL Draft. As usual, the SEC is expected to have a dominant showing. I decided to take a look at who I believe will be the first player off the board from every SEC school.

Mississippi State - CB Decamarion Richardson

A two-year starter, Richardson will likely be Mississippi State's top player off the board after testing very well at the Combine. This past season he had 79 taackles, one sack, one TFL, and 7 PBU's. Richardson measured in a 6'2 and then ran a 4.34 in the 40 which helps him a lot.

For his career, Richardson had 177 tackles, one sack, 2 TFL, 10 PBU's, and one Fumble Recovery. I expect Richardson to be a Day 3 pick.

Missouri - EDGE Darius Robinson

Robinson had a career year in 2023, putting up 43 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 14.5 TFL to work himself into back-end of the 1st round contention. Robinson is also one of the better run-defenders in the draft. Even if he does not go at the tail-end of the 1st round, he will very likely be selected in the first half of the 2nd round.

The 6'5 285 pound pass-rusher ended his five-year Missouri career with career totals of 112 tackles, 13 sacks, and 21 TFL. Again, I expect Robinson to be picked somewhere between picks 25-40.
