College football pageantry is paralleled by very few sports not only in the United States, but the entire world. Arguably the only sport college or professional that is on par in the eyes of many is European soccer. Fans of the premier league and others in Europe really take their passion to the next level as well year in and year out.

As for college football, I took to X (Formerly known as Twitter) to get us juiced up for the season which begins within the next week depending on your respective team. While many pictures came through, I wanted to share and rank what I felt were the best of the best.

13. Tyrann Mathieu season

The “honey badger” as he is called defines LSU. Wear this jersey anywhere and anyone who knows college football knows who this is, and what team he represents despite him last playing for the Tigers over 10 years ago.

12. Rebel red

Ashley and her daughter are rebels all the way with a cause. And the cause in 2024 will hopefully be cheering the Rebels onto a College Football Playoff berth.

11. O-H-I-O

Amber Holley is one that most X (formerly known as Twitter) users are familiar with, especially if you are an Ohio State fan. Amber is nothing but passion and positivity when it comes to college football and her Buckeyes. Even when she is not on site at the game, she is sure to throw up the famous “O-H-I-O”  in front of the tv screen while taking in a game.

10. Gamecock nation

Michael Baur is all geared up in his South Carolina Gamecock attire sporting the South Carolina “C” on hat, shirt and jacket.

9. It’s all about “The U”

X (Formerly known as Twitter) user @WvCanes4life (Tommy) throws up the famous “U” symbol at a game against the North Carolina Tar Heels a few years ago.

8. Rock Chalk Jayhawk

Avid helmet collector, Jerry Quickel shows off one of his 569 helmets to-date with one from the Kansas Jayhawks.

7. Geaux Tigers

You can tell Dee knows how to represent her LSU Tigers. Cajun is definitely the theme for this Tigers fanatic.

6. Georgia season ticket holder enjoys tailgate

Georgia Bulldogs season ticket holders know how to sports the red and black while getting ready to ring in another game in Athens.

5. Hail WVU

Donnie Smith is in it to win it when it comes to his West Virginia Mountaineers. Based on the hand gesture, there is a strong chance we know who they are taking on here as he supports from the stands.

4. Hotty Toddy

Cindi Ryan defines what the Ole Miss culture represents in this one photo. Sporting buttons, straw hat and some slick-looking rebel red and blue you cannot help but feel her spirit for the Rebels

3. Go Pokes

In general, if you are looking for a top Oklahoma State fan to follow on X (formerly known as Twitter), Eddie is that guy. His positivity shines not only on the platform, but in this photo as well. You can’t help but catch the cowboy spirit in this fun photo with Oklahoma State mascot, Pistol Pete.

2. Checkerboard for the win

Tennessee Volunteers fanatic, Rodney Ayers sports an orange Tennessee bucket hat and the famous white and orange checkered overalls for his beloved Vols.4

1. Michigan wins

The Wolverines won a National Championship for the first time in nearly 30 years in 2023, and they land at number one on the countdown here as well. The maze and blue suit of this fan would be heard to beat from any fan base on any campus. A nice accent of Michigan-themed cornhole and chairs in the background as well!

Hopefully these pictures palpate energy and anticipation through the screen and that you find benefit in engaging with these folks and other on X (formerly known as Twitter). And even if you did not have a full understanding of the excitement and passion around college football before viewing this article, you should have a better appreciation of it now.
