2. Bo Jackson (RB, Auburn)

What would a top ten list be without Bo Jackson? Jackson spent four years with the Tigers and head coach Pay Dye. His best season would be his senior year where he ran for 1,786 yards and 17 touchdowns and would win the Heisman Trophy.

One of the plays he is most known for is “Bo over the Top” in the Iron Bowl against rival Alabama in his freshman season, 1982 which would catapult Auburn to a victory.

1. Herschel Walker (RB, Georgia)

I said there was going to be surprises, but this one probably honestly is not one. Walker electrified college football in his three years in Athens under head coach Vince Dooley running for 5,259 yards and 49 touchdowns on the ground.

One of Walker's most legendary moments came in the 1990 matchup against the rival Tennessee Volunteers when he ran over Bill Bates on his way to pay dirt for the Bulldogs.

Yes, some names are definitely missing worth mentioning. Names like Tim Tebow,  Steve Spurrier, Mark Ingram and Pat Sullivan barely missed the cut. In a league loaded with talent each and every year, even more and more stars will emerge, making a list like this incrementally harder as time passes.
