Ranking the Top Five College Football Video Game Cover Athletes of All Time

Since EA Sports outed its first edition in 1995, tons of athletes have had the privilege to star on the cover, but not all have had such success since that time. Let’s take a look at the top five cover athletes since 1995 and see how their careers shaped out.

No. 3: Mark Ingram - Alabama, Running Back, 2008-2010

Ingram played three seasons with the Crimson Tide and dazzled in all of them. In 2008, as a freshman, Ingram tallied 728 yards and 12 touchdowns before having an explosive sophomore year. In his second collegiate season, Ingram highlighted the national statsheet with 1,658 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns - which earned him the Heisman.

After another great outing in his junior year, Ingram was drafted 28th overall by the New Orleans Saints where he spent eight seasons. His best year came in 2017 where he rushed for 1,124 yards and picked up 12 touchdowns. Ingram also played for the Ravens and Texans before heading back to the Bayou in 2021 and closing out his career the following year as a Saint.
