#7 Nic Scourton (Edge, Texas A&M)
10 sacks. That was Scourton’s total at Purdue this past season to go along with 50 tackles, which is quite impressive from the defensive end position.
According to On3, Scourton was a four star prospect coming out of high school. He transferred back home this year to College Station to test his skills in the SEC.
Based on his performance for the Boilermakers and him wrecking shop in the Aggies spring game, do not expect Scourton’s production to fall off, but only get stronger.
Brugler had Scourton slated to be drafted 20th. I really think Scourton could shoot up the draft board quickly this year and expect big things out of him for the Aggies. Therefore I have him ranked as the seventh best SEC prospect on my list.
#8 Tyler Booker (OG, Alabama)
Booker is undervalued I believe. Number one because of his position at guard which traditionally does not value high when it comes to the NFL Draft. And two because of the Crimson Tide’s subpar performance on the offensive line this past season.
Booker however you could argue emerged as one of the anchors on the offensive line for the Tide despite their struggles as a unit. Booker has great NFL size at 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds.
He was the number three offensive line recruit nationally in the class of 2022 according to On3 out of IMG Academy
Brugler has Booker projected to be the last pick of the first round at 32.
I however have Booker as the eight best prospect and to be drafted much higher than the last pick in the first round, which goes without saying.
I know it is just the spring game, but the Crimson Tide’s offensive line looks to be flowing a whole lot better so far this offseason under new head coach Kalen DeBoer. And Booker’s stock will be spotlighted and rise because of it.
