Ranking the Top SEC NFL Draft Prospects for 2025

Dane Brugler of The Athletic just gave a "Way Too Early 2025 NFL Mock Draft." I provided my rankings and insight into the top 15 SEC players projected to be drafted by Brugler, and where I would rank them.

#15 Walter Nolen (DT, Ole Miss)

Nolen was the number one recruit out of high school in 2022 and landed at Texas A&M for coach Jimbo Fisher. With Fisher’s firing however, Nolen decided to transfer to Ole Miss after two seasons in College Station to play for Lane Kiffin and the Ole Miss Rebels. He will be coached by a great defensive mind in Ole Miss defensive coordinator, Pete Golding as he looks to increase his draft stock.

After recording only one sack in his freshman season for the Aggies, Nolen did increase his production to four sacks in his sophomore season to go along with 37 tackles.

Brugler has Nolen slated to go off the board at number 23. To me Nolen going even at 23 is risky given his production. His size and ability to take up space I think have him as high as he is, but this one to me screams bust potential.
