Ranking the Worst College Mascots
It is really easy to think of some of the best college mascots as they are always top of mind. What are not top of mind alot of times are the worst ones. In this article, I took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to ask college sports fans who had the worst mascot. And they wasted no time weighing in.
3. Banana Slugs (UC Santa Cruz)
When you fail to simply name your mascot a banana and decide to add slugs onto the end, you are just asking to be on this list. Although not as glaring as some others we will see later on, the Banana Slug of UC Santa Cruz just sounds gross. With that being said, I think third place on the list is more than warranted.
