Traditions run a plenty in college football. While many SEC traditions are absolutely worth noting, there are many other spectacular ones across the landscape that are worth a watch and praise as well.

Some traditions happen pregame, some while the teams enter and some during the game. Regardless, college football is known for something the NFL cannot often do; and that is make your hair stand up.

With so many to choose from, I took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to ask the fans what their favorite tradition was and the results are in.

Here are the Top Ten College Football Traditions

10. The Hog Call (Arkansas)

“Woo pig sooie. Razorbacks!” That is what is known in Fayetteville as The Hog Call and is done at the beginning of every Razorbacks home game to welcome the team onto the field before every home game.

The closed in stadium with Razorback red sideline to sideline really is a site to behold for the Hogs faithful and across the college football landscape.

9. Dotting of the I (Ohio State)

As the Ohio State University Marching Band takes the field before every home game, they select a band member to dot the I at each home game.

The band slowly spells out the word “Ohio” as they march in unison across the field bringing the crowd to its feet every Saturday in Columbus before the Buckeyes take the field.
