Ranking the Top 10 College Football Traditions

In this article, I share what I feel are the top ten entrances in college football.

8. Running through the “T” (Tennessee)

Before each home game in Knoxville, the Tennessee Volunteers bring their fans to their feet as the band parts into their symbolic “T” representing the University of Tennessee as the players spring through making their way onto the field sprinting alongside mascot Smokey and the Vols cheerleaders.

From the time they part the locker room before home games until they spring down the hill touching what is known as “Howard’s Rock,” the Clemson Tigers have one of the most unique entrances in college football.

After leaving the locker room before the game, the team has to process over on buses before entering. With fans lining the streets and the buses rocking with energy, this is truly a site to behold. It culminates in The Tiger mascot leading the team onto the field sprinting down what is known as “the hill.” In Clemson, South Carolina seven Saturday’s each year.
