6. Mr. Brightside (Michigan)

This one just about makes the earth shake if you’re in person everyone says. The echoes of 107,000 plus wearing Michigan maze and blue sing the song, “Mr. Brightside” by The Killers between the third and fourth quarter every home game.

The instrumental and vocals go quiet for one part of the lyrics which heightens the crowd volume even more.

5. Planting the Spear (Florida State)

The crowd is on their feet giving the tomahawk chop chant before Chief Osceola takes center stage on the horse, Renegade. Chief Osceola plants a flaming spear into the center of the field in the middle of the Florida State logo.

This is a tradition that will make your hair stand up. Not only because it is exhilarating, but the cultural significance behind it as well will make you appreciate it even more knowing that Chief Osceola was a historic leader of the Seminole tribe, alone with his Appaloosa horse, Renegade.
