Ranking the Top 10 College Football Traditions

In this article, I share what I feel are the top ten entrances in college football.

2. Enter Sandman (Virginia Tech)

The voices of Metallica fill Lane Stadium on a Saturday night that will make your hair stand up. Every Hokie fan in the place along with visiting fans is jumping welcoming the Hokies onto the field to the Blacksburg rendition echoing the words, “exit light, enter Hokies.”

1. The Grove (Ole Miss)

The Grove at Ole Miss is a bucket list item for many college football fans. Located on the campus of the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi, this 10-acres of grass covered in oak trees plays host to the epicenter of college football tailgating seven Saturday’s each year whenever the Rebels host a home game.

The experience culminates with “The Grove Walk” which has Ole Miss players walking through the center of the Grove on their way into the stadium being greeted by fans before each game.
