Number 8: Tennessee Volunteers

The Tennessee Volunteers dropped three spots in this weeks rankings after going 2-2, making their overall record 18-3.

Last week, the Volunteers got off to a good start after dominating Eastern Kentucky, but fell off in their weekend match up against Alabama as they lost two out of three games.

Billy Amick has been the best hitter for Tennessee so far. Through 21 games, Amick has a batting average of .377 with nine home runs and 21 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.274, which includes an on-base percentage of .456 and a slugging percentage of .818.

AJ Causey has been the best pitcher for the Volunteers so far. Through five outings, Causey has a record of 3-0 with an earned run average of 1.65 in 27.1 innings pitched with 38 strikeouts.

This week, Tennessee hosts Xavier for a midweek matchup before facing off against Ole Miss for a three game series.
