Number 22: South Carolina Gamecocks
The South Carolina Gamecocks have dropped four spots in this weeks rankings after going 2-2. This makes their overall record on the year 21-7.
Last week, the Gamecocks beat Presbyterian in their midweek contest and lost two out of three against Alabama.
Ethan Petry has continued to be the best hitter for South Carolina. Through 28 games played, Petry has a batting average of .337 with 12 home runs and 28 runs batted in. He also has an OPS of 1.266, which includes an on-base percentage of .519 and a slugging percentage of .747.
Eli Jones has been the best pitcher for the Gamecocks this season. Through seven starts, Jones has a 2-0 record with an earned run average of 2.45 in 36.2 innings pitched and has struck out 28 batters.
Next week, South Carolina will host both Georgia Southern for a midweek game and Texas A&M for a three game series.
