SEC Baseball Tournament Day One Preview

#6 Georgia vs #11 LSU
The first game of the 2024 SEC Baseball Tournament will be between the 6th seeded Georgia Bulldogs and the 11th seeded LSU Tigers. First pitch for this game will be at 10:30 eastern and will be televised on SEC Network.
These two teams did not face off in the regular season, but are two different kinds of teams. Georgia's team is built around offense and LSU has a much better pitching staff.
Luke Holman is the ace for LSU and should be the starter in game one. This season, Holman has an 8-3 record with an earned run average of 2.73 in 79 innings pitched and has struck out 109 batters.
Leighton Finley is the ace for Georgia and should be the starter in game one. This season, Finley has a 5-1 record with an earned run average of 4.18 in 64.2 innings pitched and has struck out 69 batters.
This is a great first game of the tournament and it could go either way. Georgia as the higher seed makes them the favorite, but LSU has a very good opportunity to win this game.
The winner of this game will play Kentucky on Wednesday.
