SEC Baseball Week 7 Power Rankings; Vanderbilt Rises, LSU Falls

Another weekend of conference play is past. Let's take a look at my week seven SEC Baseball power rankings.

We are now through seven weeks of college baseball. Each team inside the Southeastern Conference has played three conference series. Let's take a look at where each SEC baseball team lands in this weeks power rankings.

All records and rankings are as of March 31st. Top 25 rankings are from D1Baseball.

Number 14: Missouri Tigers

The Missouri Tigers have once again gotten swept over the weekend. The Tigers are currently on a five game losing streak to make their record 10-18, with a 1-8 conference record.

Last week, the Tigers took a midweek defeat to Illinois, with a final score of 11-3. Over the weekend, Missouri got swept by Vanderbilt in a three game series.

Number 13: Auburn Tigers

The Auburn Tigers had another bad week after going 1-3. Their overall record now sits at 16-11, with a 1-8 conference record.

Last week, the Tigers got a midweek victory against Jacksonville State, with a final score of 13-3. Over the weekend, Auburn got swept by Texas A&M in a three game series.

Number 12: Ole Miss Rebels

The Ole Miss Rebels struggled this week as they went 1-3. This dropped their overall record to 18-11, with a 3-6 conference record.

Last week, the Rebels won their midweek contest against Austin Peay, with a final score of 13-9. Over the weekend, Ole Miss got swept by Kentucky in a three game series.

Number 11: #8 LSU Tigers

The LSU Tigers have dropped off a lot since conference play began. Last week, they went 1-3, making their overall record 20-9, with a 2-7 conference record.

The Tigers opened up last week with a midweek victory over Southeastern Louisiana, 8-4. Over the weekend, LSU got swept by Arkansas in a three game series.

Number 10: #21 Mississippi State Bulldogs

The Mississippi State Bulldogs had a decent week, going 2-2, making their overall record 19-10, with a 4-5 conference record.

Last week, the Bulldogs got a midweek win over Samford, with a final score of 9-5. Over the weekend, Mississippi State lost two out of three to Florida. Their losses in that series were only one run.

Number 9: Georgia Bulldogs

The Georgia Bulldogs continued their good season with a decent week. They went 1-2, making their overall record 22-6, with a 4-5 conference record.

Last week, the Bulldogs had their midweek matchup against Mercer postponed. Over the weekend, Georgia lost two out of three to Tennessee.

Number 8: #16 Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide had a good week, where they went 3-1. This made their overall record 21-7, with a 4-5 conference record.

Last week, the Crimson Tide defeated Belmont in their midweek game, 6-3. Over the weekend, Alabama won two out of three games against South Carolina.

Number 7: #18 South Carolina

The South Carolina Gamecocks had a decent week as they went 2-2. This made their overall record 21-7, with a 5-4 conference record.

Last week, the Gamecocks got a big midweek win over Presbyterian, 19-14. Over the weekend, South Carolina lost two out of three against Alabama.

Number 6: #7 Vanderbilt Commodores

The Vanderbilt Commodores had a great week, going 4-0, making their overall record 23-6, with a 6-3 conference record.

Last week, the Commodores began their week with a solid midweek victory over Valparaiso, 3-2. Over the weekend, Vanderbilt swept Missouri in a three game series.

Number 5: #5 Tennessee Volunteers

The Tennessee Volunteers had a solid week by going 3-1. This improved their overall record to 24-5, with a 5-4 conference record.

Last week, the Volunteers won big in their midweek contest against Tennessee Tech, 11-1. Over the weekend, Tennessee won two out of three games against Georgia.

Number 4: #24 Kentucky Wildcats

The Kentucky Wildcats continued their great start to the season by going 4-0 this week. This improved their record to 23-4, with an 8-1 conference record.

Last week, the Wildcats got a solid midweek win against Miami (Ohio), with a final score of 9-5. Over the weekend, Kentucky dominated Ole Miss by sweeping them in three games.

Number 3: #6 Florida Gators

The Florida Gators had another decent week, going 2-2, to make overall record 16-11, with a 6-3 conference record.

Last week, the Gators lost their midweek game against Florida State, 14-3. Over the weekend, Florida won two out of three games against Mississippi State.

Number 2: #4 Texas A&M Aggies

The Texas A&M Aggies had another dominant week by going 4-0. This improved their overall record to 25-3, with a 6-3 conference record.

Last week, the Aggies got a solid midweek win against Houston Christian, 6-3. Over the weekend, Texas A&M swept Auburn in a three game series.

Number 1: #1 Arkansas Razorbacks

The Arkansas Razorbacks continued to prove that they are the best with another 4-0 week. This improved their overall record to 23-3, with an 8-1 conference record.

Last week, the Razorbacks mercy ruled Little Rock in their midweek game, 11-0. Over the weekend, Arkansas swept LSU in a three game series.
